Memorable Date Ideas in Kitsap

February is probably best known for Valentine’s Day, but a memorable date with that special someone doesn’t need to be on a holiday. If you are looking for some inspiration for your outing or want to try something new, here are some fun ideas. And, they’re all here in beautiful Kitsap County!

Explore Manette

Take your sweetheart for a stroll through the charming shops of Manette. Life in Mauve and The Weekender are both known for their eclectic gifts and locally-made goods. Looking for something out of the ordinary? Check out the Makerhaus website for announcements about classes and First Friday festivities.

While out shopping, you’ll find no shortage of places to grab a bite. A lovely restaurant, Khao Soi offers classic Thai (we love their Pad See Ew with chicken). For amazing seafood with a view, try The Boat Shed (trust us about the delicious Wasabi Salmon). For a truly Pacific Northwest experience, we suggest checking out Hound & Bottle. They have a wonderful seasonal menu and craft cocktails. Cap off your evening with live music or trivia at The Manette Saloon.

Check Out Silverdale’s Hidden Gems

Old Town Silverdale is full of great restaurant options. Peninsula Brewhouse hosts special events like trivia, and they offer unique tacos. At KettleFish, you can warm up with a cup of chowder before taking a romantic sunset walk at the waterfront park. Want to get creative? Kitsap Art Center offers a variety of workshops and classes. For breakfast or lunch dates, Monica’s Waterfront Cafe is a community staple, and Sugar Studios Cafe, newer to the area, offers Bubble Tea, Crepes, and Poke Bowls

Enjoy Dinner and a Show in Bremerton

Downtown Bremerton is an entertainment hub with comedy shows, concerts, and movies. The Historic Roxy Theatre, the Admiral Theatre, and  SEEfilm Cinema all have unique vibes and programming. Just outside the Roxy, Quincy Square comes alive on weekends with live entertainment, food trucks, and festivals. For a memorable meal in downtown Bremerton, order authentic Ramen at Yoko Yoko, pupusas at El Balcon, and shrimp fettuccine at Anthony’s at Sinclair Inlet

Raise a Glass to Your Date

Celebrate your date with their favorite locally made craft beverage. We have many options here in Kitsap County. A lesser-known spot is Gorst’s Deep Draft Brewing, which pays homage to the local shipyard history. The Tipsy Blackbird wine bar in Bremerton (formerly Grumble & Wine) is a cute place to cozy up on a velvet couch and enjoy a flight. Some other spots include Cellar Cat in Kingston and Ty’s Wine & Brew in Poulsbo. Both offer live music and great atmospheres. Another local favorite, Treehouse Café on Bainbridge Island, hosts weekly trivia and a Jazz Jam once a month.
