Father’s Day is right around the corner! It’s always the third Sunday in June, and this year it’s on June 15th. Spending quality time together will make the dads, grandfathers, and fatherly figures in your life feel extra special. Kitsap County is full of peaceful parks where you can enjoy the great outdoors. Evergreen Rotary Park is a local favorite with large fields, sports courts, and a playground. Also, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy takeout from Evergreen Pizza. Another great option is Illahee State Park. It has a little bit of everything – from a dock and sandy beach to mossy forest trails. Its covered picnic area with electricity and adjacent grills is perfect for a BBQ. Island Lake Park offers swimming, boating, walking paths, a play area, and picnic areas scattered throughout. It’s a beautiful setting to relax in the sun or get some steps in with those fur babies. Grab takeout from nearby Peter’s Kitchen, sweet treats from Bee Hill Bakery, or a unique drink from neighboring Candyland Cafe.
Learn Something New
The U.S. Naval Undersea Museum in Keyport is a fascinating place to learn all about undersea operations, technology, and more. The museum is open 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Wednesday – Monday. Admission is always free. You’ll find a working periscope that has a view of the parking lot, and a replica control panel room from a submarine.
If time with creepy crawly creatures sounds exciting to you and Dad, visit the Bremerton Bug and Reptile Museum. Open daily, you can visit any time between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The museum features an 8-foot ant colony, live and preserved insects, and even a blue-tongued skink.
Test Your Skills
Challenge Dad to an axe-throwing duel at Dimension XR in Port Orchard. Or, team up in a virtual world at Kitsap Great Escape in Silverdale. There you can combine skills and problem solve in one of their four escape rooms. If arcades are more appealing, choose your own adventure at Quarters Arcade in Bremerton. This arcade has a variety of games and air hockey. All of these activities are under $40 per person.

Free Mother’s Day Activities & Great Local Gifts

Mother’s Day is coming up on May 11th! What better way to treat the mothers, grandmothers, and motherly figures in your life than to spend some quality time together? We’ve compiled some fun, free activities to make your Mother’s Day special. And, if you need gift ideas, we’ve got you covered. We love supporting local businesses here in Kitsap County, so we’ve also included some thoughtful ideas.
Outdoor Activities
Surprise your mom, stepmother, aunt, or grandmother with a picnic in one of our wonderful local parks. Consider going to Kiwanis Park in Bremerton. It has picnic tables, open fields, a playground, and public restrooms. Or, Seabeck’s Scenic Beach State Park is another great option. It has nice trails with rhododendrons, incredible views of the Olympics, picnic shelters, beach access, and a playground.
Another idea is to head to Kingston’s Saltair Beach, right by the ferry. It offers a nice, sandy beach and it’s steps from downtown. Pack a picnic and some beach towels for a relaxing afternoon. Alternatively, you could purchase delicious empanadas from Argensol or a few slices of award-winning pizza from Sourdough Willy’s. Both establishments are loved by locals and are within walking distance of Saltair Beach. While you’re downtown, you could also check out the Kingston Public Market. Its opening day is on Mother’s Day. The market is located by the ferry terminal in Mike Wallace Park. You’ll find all kinds of locally made crafts, fresh produce, and more. There’s often live music there as well.
If you want to check out a unique local spot, consider visiting the Hobbit House in The Brothers Greenhouses. This iconic tiny house is open year-round during business hours (Monday – Saturday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM; Sunday, 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM). Visitors can step into this magical place, take photos, view the rooftop garden, and sign the guestbook. While you’re there, peruse their wonderful selection of locally grown plants – perennials, annuals, vegetables, succulents – you name it, they probably have it.
Not too far from Kitsap County is beautiful Finnriver Farm & Cidery in Chimacum. Finnriver will be having a Makers Market on Saturday, May 10th and Sunday, May 11th from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM. This event celebrates mothers and mother nature and will include an array of local vendors. All of them are either inspired by nature or use natural materials in their work. Finnriver is fun for the whole family with live music, tasty cider for purchase, an expansive outdoor area for kids to play, and the chance to find a perfect gift to purchase for Mom.
For Fans of the Arts
If the mom in your life enjoys art, spend an afternoon with her at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (BIMA). Thanks to donors and members, admission is always free. It’s open 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, daily. Check out BIMA’s current exhibitions, including “Power of the Presses”, which focuses on print works and includes hands-on art making in the gallery. Also impactful is their permanent art collection, highlighting contemporary art of the Puget Sound region.
Another option is a free Mother’s Day craft hosted by the Suquamish Museum. From May 7 – 11, from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, you can visit the Suquamish Museum to make a beautiful paper flower bouquet (limited to one per person). This event is open to all ages, and supplies will be provided. It’s fun to get crafty while enjoying time together, creating a sweet memory and a bouquet that won’t wilt. The Suquamish Museum is also a beautiful place to immerse yourself in history, art, and culture. The museum admission is free for Tribal members and children 5 and under. For others, prices vary from $6.00 to $8.00 per person; see their website to learn more.
For History Lovers
Full of fascinating artifacts and information, the Puget Sound Navy Museum in Bremerton is free year-round. Visitors can enjoy permanent and temporary exhibits, and a Family Discovery Room geared toward children. It’s open Wednesdays through Mondays from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Please note that if you bring a bag, it needs to be stored in one of their lockers since they want to keep all Navy treasures safe and secure.
Another great option for history lovers in the Kitsap History Museum, also in Bremerton. It’s open 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tuesday through Sunday. General admission is free to all visitors. They have many interesting exhibits, including store fronts with historical artifacts, a switchboard, a firefighter display, indigenous pieces, and much more. Local Mother’s Day Gift Ideas
A Glowing Gift
Unique candles always make for an enjoyable gift. The Wax Artist, which you can find in the Kitsap Mall, has all kinds of candles full of personality and charm. The Wax Artist also has highly-rated candle-making workshops. This might even be a fun activity to do with your mom. In one of these workshops, you get to blend your favorite scents and add wax charms to personalize it. This typically takes 30 minutes to one hour. After pouring your candle, it will be ready for pickup in about two hours. While waiting, you can check out other shops inside the mall or get a bite to eat. While the staff is open to walk-in candle-making, it’s best to book online.
Vintage Flair
Another sweet gift is a mix of old and new. Stop into Bremerton Vintage Flea and find a mug or teapot that you can fill with chocolates, IOUs, or little thank you notes. This great shop also has interesting baskets, which you could purchase and fill with bath products, their favorite snacks, or flower seed packets.

For a classic gift, stop into Williams Flower & Gift store. Not only will you be able to select a beautiful bouquet, but you’ll also find some lovely gift baskets and exotic plants for sale. If the mother you’re treating enjoys a fine wine, consider getting her a Kitsap Wine Pass. Plan to be there for at least an hour. Your studio session includes all materials and it’s $15 per person plus the shelf price of whichever pottery piece you select. When you’re done, you’ll pay and the staff will fire it in their kiln. It’s typically ready to pick up one week later.

So, we’ve compiled a list of ideas to get you started. These classes will get your creative juices flowing and kick off the new year in a fun way.
BARN on Bainbridge Island
A staple of the arts community on Bainbridge Island, BARN (Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network), continues to offer a plethora of courses in 2024. They are currently home to 10 different studios. If you’re interested in podcasting, stop by. If you’re interested in the kitchen arts or fiber and glass arts, there’s something here for you. Woodworkers, metal workers, boat builders, writers, and even printers can all find something in this space in 2024. In fact, BARN focuses on mentorship and apprenticeship. Any experience level is welcome.
Creative Warrior Studio in Silverdale
This studio has three different options for those looking to get creative with glass projects. They offer open studio times five days a week and guided classes throughout the month. Or, you can rent out the studio for a private event. And, on Friday, January 12th, the studio is hosting a Jammin’ with Jellies class. After that, on January 19th the studio will guide creative minds in making a Winter Aspens Panel. Check their website for more events throughout 2024.
Heart 2 Heart Knitting and Fiber Arts in Poulsbo
What’s cozier than a hand-knit hat, scarf, or sweater? A circle of friends to make those items together. The Heart 2 Heart Knitting and Fiber Arts store in Poulsbo offers newbies an hour with one of their teachers. Beginners will learn how to knit or crochet. In addition, every Tuesday and Thursday they host an open craft time. Anyone can come in, meet new people, chat, and knit or crochet together. The Kitsap Art Center provides art classes for children and adults. They offer courses such as drawing with various media, self-portraits, and watercolor techniques. These classes offer the chance to try your hand at something new or encourage kids to do so.
Kitsap Photography Guild in Silverdale
The Kitsap Photography Guild offers a wide variety of activities and meetings for club members. All are welcome to join. Member experience levels range from newcomers to retired professionals. Club members can attend monthly meetings in Silverdale. Additionally, they offer workshops, photo walks, and critique sessions. Also, the guild holds competitions and exhibitions. Master Gardener Foundation in Bremerton
A non-profit organization, the Master Gardener Foundation of Kitsap County is dedicated to promoting a love of gardening and stewardship in the community. If you would like to become a master gardener, the Washington State University Extension program begins taking applications in October for courses the following January.
Port Orchard Dance in Port Orchard
Recently nominated as one of the “Best Dance Studios” and “Best Places to Dance” in 2023 in Kitsap County, Port Orchard Dance is swinging into 2024 in full force. For beginners, their January line-up of classes offers many options. You can learn the fox trot, salsa, and East Coast swing. They also host open dance parties. One of six locations throughout Washington, Ted Brown Music in Silverdale is perfect for those who are musically inclined. They offer instrument rentals, repairs, products, and private lessons. Splash Pads, Picnics & Pickleball – Visit These Local Parks

Summer is the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors at one of our local parks. Kitsap County and the surrounding areas have many great spots to enjoy. So, we’ve compiled a list of parks we love that have splash pads, are great for picnics, and/or pickleball (America’s fastest-growing sport).
Kitsap County Parks
Battle Point Park on Bainbridge Island
This 90-acre park used to be a naval radio station. It has a large, open field that’s perfect for a picnic. The picnic structure is quite popular, so reservations are recommended. It also includes ponds, trails, a large wooden play structure, basketball, and tennis courts. Visitors can also enjoy a round of disc golf. Additionally, the park has gardening plots. However, there is currently a waitlist for the plots.
Buck Lake Park in Hansville
Spanning 155 acres and located in Hansville, this gem has lake access. In addition to swimming in the lake, you can also enjoy fishing and boating. (However, internal combustion motors and motorized boats are prohibited on the lake.) The park has bathrooms, a picnic shelter, and a small playground for younger kids. It also offers walking and equestrian trails of the Hansville Greenway Wildlife Corridor. Plus, there’s a basketball court, a volleyball court, and tennis/pickleball courts.
Lions Park in Poulsbo
This park is right by picturesque Fjord Drive, which is a great place to walk alongside the water. Near downtown Poulsbo, this park is a fun place to have a picnic and it has a playground. There are also tennis courts that are used for pickleball as well. Interested in finding out more about who is playing pickleball and when? Owen’s Playground on Bainbridge Island
An inclusive, barrier-free play area, Owen’s Playground includes some water features. It was designed to include adaptive play features such as the Oodle Swing and Wee-Saw. Located between two baseball fields, this playground is convenient for families of Little Leaguers to picnic and play. In addition, the playground features the work of many local artists and creators, making it a truly special space.
Silverdale Waterfront Park in Silverdale
For a waterfront picnic with saltwater beach access and much more, head to this park in Silverdale. It has a playground, a gazebo, and a picnic shelter. The small playground is perfect for young children. The gazebo can seat approximately 16 people, while 90 people can fit in the picnic shelter, making it a great spot for larger groups. Wildcat Lake Park in Bremerton
This is a popular family picnic spot in the summer that opens the last Saturday of April and stays open through October 31st. It offers lake access with an area for swimming, and fishing is also permitted. There are also restrooms and a playground for children. Visitors are also able to rent the picnic shelter, which can house up to 48 people. As always, stay current with any lake and water advisories that are in place for any Kitsap County’s swimming beaches.
Other Great Parks Near Kitsap County
Chetzemoka Park in Port Townsend
The city of Port Townsend touts this park as the crown jewel of its park system and the first community park to be established in 1904. The park overlooks the Admiralty Inlet and Cascade Mountains. There is a gazebo and a large, grassy area that is perfect for picnics with BBQs and firepits. There are multiple play structures for children to use, as well as an ADA restroom and kitchen shelter. You can also access the beach and tidelands from the corner of the park, making it a popular place for events.
Edmonds City Park in Edmonds
If you’re ready to cool off during one of Washington’s hot summer days, Edmonds City Park has a large splash pad for visitors to enjoy. It’s open from Memorial Day to Labor Day from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM. In addition, the park offers a great spot to picnic with a large open lawn, BBQ grills, and fire pits, as well as group picnic tables. There is even a picnic shelter available for use with reservations. Other bonuses include its playground, horseshoe pits, and a nearby baseball/softball field.
Gateway Park in Gig Harbor
This expansive park includes many fun features and amenities. The large, double playground includes a picnic shelter and picnic tables. There is also a splash pad that is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, seven days a week. If you’re a dog owner, you can visit its off-leash dog park. The park is located at the trailhead of the 360 Trails. These trails are open for walkers, mountain bikers, and equestrians.

We have a strong military presence here in Kitsap County, which enriches our community. And according to their website, the Bremerton Fitness Complex is open to military members, their families, retirees, Department of Defense contractors, and sponsored guests. This fitness complex hosts classes like “Warrior Workout” and yoga sessions. It has a full line of weight equipment and exercise machines, as well as a basketball court and a racquetball court. Visitors have access to the showers, sauna, and locker room. Additionally, the complex has an infant and toddler play area. This place is a great resource for those who are serving or have served. Haselwood Family YMCA in Silverdale
A part of the Pierce and Kitsap County YMCA network, the Haselwood Family YMCA in Silverdale offers fitness classes and more for its members. You can participate in group classes, use the Y’s exercise equipment, and enjoy the swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna. The complex also offers a wide variety of children’s programming, from child watch to classes, to summer camps. Members can also access physical therapists, personal trainers, and coaches. It’s a one-stop shop for all of your family’s fun fitness needs!
Island Fitness on Bainbridge Island
Have you ever wanted to try Zumba or a cycling class? Head to Island Fitness for that and much more. If strength training is more your focus, they have a “Body Pump” class. Additionally, yoga classes and meditation sessions are great options that will help you find some inner peace. An added bonus of this great place is that they have four licensed massage therapists! CrossFit has taken the fitness world by storm. If it’s something you always wanted to try, look no further than Kitsap CrossFit. Students can choose lessons that focus on everything from the fox trot to salsa to East Coast swing. The studio offers private lesson packages or weekly group lesson packages focused on a certain style of ballroom dance. Street Sports in Poulsbo and Silverdale
Street Sports has two branches in Kitsap County: one in Silverdale and one in Poulsbo. They offer Brazilian Jui-Jitsu classes for children, teens, and adults, as well as yoga classes. According to their website, Brazilian Jui-Jitsu, “is a self-defense system that promotes dominating the opponent without aggression and with technique and leverage instead.” When it comes to their yoga classes, they are meant for all ages and skill levels. Want to try it out, but aren’t ready to commit? Both branches offer a trial week for kids and teens and adult trial classes. Get ready to improve not only your physical strength but your mental strength as well.
Sweet Santosha Yoga in Kingston
This is a dedicated yoga studio that offers a wide variety of classes. The studio offers everything from heated to non-heated classes, from a vinyasa flow-style class to restorative and stretching-style yoga. They also have workshops and special events. In the summer months, members even take their classes outside to a local park and bask in the summer sun. If you’re new to yoga, don’t worry. The Yard Fitness Club in Kingston
The owners of The Yard Fitness Club are a husband and wife duo who have embraced an active lifestyle. They recently moved back to Kingston, and their gym offers unique group classes, team training, yoga, and spin. In addition, the facility houses a shower and locker room, and The Yard offers nutritional counseling and supplements. Members also have access to high-quality gym equipment and a pickleball court!

There are so many fun summer activities for kids and teens in Kitsap County. If you’re looking for something for your kids to do this summer, this list will help you get started. Some organizations offer a variety of activities and camps, so make sure to check each website for more detailed information.
First Friday Art Walk at KiDiMu
First Friday of each month, 1:00 – 7:00 PM, Kids Discovery Museum (KiDiMu), Bainbridge Island
On the first Friday of each month, KiDiMu hosts a special craft-based activity for kids. Whether you come in the early afternoon or head over after dinner, little ones will have a great time using their artistic skills and showcasing their creativity. It’s a great way to get an early start to the weekend!

Summer Learning
June 1 – August 31, 2023, Kitsap Regional Library (all locations and online)
The Kitsap Regional Library is hosting its community self-paced reading and learning program for school-aged children and teens during summer break. To participate, visit any Kitsap Regional Library location to pick up a reading tracker or download the reading tracker online. Just remember, the reading tracker won’t be available until Thursday, June 1st so that everyone has the same amount of time. Fun prizes will be awarded to those who meet their reading goals!

Canvas & Cupcake

Enjoy an afternoon of family fun at the Kitsap Art Center! Adults and children (ages 5 and older) are invited to channel their inner Van Gogh (or Picasso or Monet – your choice!) by creating a step-by-step painting. No experience is necessary. Just be willing to get out of your comfort zone and be creative. Cupcakes are provided as a post-art treat.

Young Artist Summer Camps

Kitsap Art Center offers a variety of camps and summer classes for kids as young as four all the way up to teenagers. Typically, each class focuses on learning how to paint a particular animal or piece of art. Participating youth don’t need any prior experience – just sign up and have fun! All aspiring artists are welcome as long as they meet the minimum age requirements.

Kitsap Live Steamers

Choo, choo – all aboard! Calling all train enthusiasts for an outdoor ride. Kitsap Live Steamers operates 7.5″ gauge scale trains that are fun for all ages. The train includes an ADA-accessible riding car designed to accommodate a manual or motorized wheelchair. A train ride is great fun for the whole family!

Bainbridge Island Aquatics Center

Help your kids dive in and learn how to swim this summer at the Bainbridge Island Aquatics Center. Swim classes are offered for ages 6 months to 12 years old. This is a great way to start a lifelong skill or take swimming skills to the next level. But hurry, classes are already filling up!

Student Conservation Corps
Summer 2023, Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District
Youth get to learn what it takes to become an environmental steward by helping pull weeds and controlling invasive plants in Bainbridge Island parks. Local educational speakers provide conservation education and career advice during lunch as well. This is a paid work opportunity for students 15 and older and a great way to learn more about conservation-related careers.

Olympic Outdoor Center’s Youth Summer Day Camps

Summer day camps hosted by the Olympic Outdoor Center are for ages 7 to 13. They’re packed with activities, including kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, and standup paddleboarding. While having tons of fun, campers also learn about safety, teamwork, adventure nutrition, and respect for the natural world.

Pirate Festival
June 17, 2023, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Mike Wallace Park, Kingston
Ahoy! Kingston will be launching its first annual Pirate Festival this June. This event features more than 30 vendors and live music. Plus, there will be activities for kids, including face painting, pirate games, and a bouncy house. The festival promises to be a swashbuckling good time for the whole family.

Ride the Tide
June 17, 2023, and it starts at Tracyton Boat Launch, Bremerton
Celebrate the Kitsap Peninsula National Water Trails by joining Ride the Tide. This is perfect for teens and parents who are comfortable kayaking, canoeing, or paddleboarding. Participants may use their own gear or rent gear from the Olympic Outdoor Center. So, grab a paddle and join in on this guided ride with fellow water enthusiasts. Also, a shuttle service will be available.
Cost: $59, but cost increases with gear rentals
YMCA Day Camps and Youth Classes
June 19 – September 1, 2023, Haselwood YMCA, Silverdale
The Haselwood YMCA offers a variety of summer day camps and youth classes, including swim lessons, sports, and gymnastics. Kids get to have fun while building self-confidence and learning new skills. The Haselwood YMCA also offers open swim days to escape the heat, which is free for YMCA members.

Sailing Camp
July 10 – August 4, 2023, Kitsap Sailing Foundation, Waterfront Park, Silverdale
Kids and teens can set sail this summer with camps offered by the Kitsap Sailing Foundation! Each camp runs daily for one week, with youth morning sessions and teen camps in the afternoon. Sign up for one camp or all of them; no experience is necessary either way. Each week offers new experiences and STEM learning opportunities too.
Cost: $240 plus processing fees (need-based scholarships are available)
Summer Ranch Hands
July – August 2023, dates and times vary, The Whole Horse Place, Port Orchard
Saddle up and learn what it takes to be a great ranch hand. Students ages 7 and older get to learn every aspect of horsemanship, including trail riding, equine science labs, lessons, and chores. This is a wonderful way to become comfortable around horses.

Kitsap Forest Adventure Camp
July 2023, dates and times vary, Kitsap Forest Theater, Bremerton
Get kids to step away from their screens and get outside this summer with creative camps offered by Kitsap Forest Theater. Outdoor activities for kids ages kindergarten through 4th grade include art, singing, drama, hiking, and exploring the forest, wildlife, and creeks. Hurry though. The two-week-long camps offered are already filling up!

Youth and Teen Classes

The BARN on Bainbridge Island has it all! This holiday season there are so many great local events going on, so we thought we would highlight a range of activities. From free pony rides for kids to a Viking bonfire, you’re sure to find a fun way to celebrate here in beautiful Kitsap County.

Visit Father Christmas for a photo op in front of his little house at this cute little Holiday Tiny Home in Historic Downtown Poulsbo. Bring your own camera for some family photos. Additionally, kids can drop off their letter to Santa and they’ll receive a reply if a return address is listed.

Holiday Festivals

Kingston’s annual Christmas event boasts thousands upon thousands of lights. The official lighting ceremony is on December 4th at 5:00 PM. However, there are plenty of festivities happening throughout the day. This year there’s a Craft Fair at the Village Green (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM), Santa’s Workshop (take and make crafts), photos with Santa at Kingston Cove Yacht Club (1:00 – 4:00 PM), live music, Santa’s arrival, a boat parade, a cookie-crawl, and a holiday spirits garden. View the complete schedule. Once the holiday lights are on, they light up the waterfront until the first week of January. So, you can take a stroll to enjoy it all season long. Unusual creations for this display usually include an octopus, a dragon, butterflies, and turtles.
Julefest: Nordic Market, Taste of Norway, and Viking Bonfire

Where: Sons of Norway and Poulsbo Waterfront Park
Cost: Free
Taste Norwegian food, shop for Scandinavian-inspired gifts and crafts and experience the holidays with a Nordic twist at the Sons of Norway Lodge. At dusk, enjoy the Lucia Bride ceremony where the Vikings escort Lucia and her wreath of candles to the shore on their boat, followed by a bonfire and winter proclamation. It’s one of the most authentic Nordic holiday ceremonies in the Northwest, and very unique to Poulsbo.

Celebrate the holidays in historic Port Gamble with shopping and holiday lights! This year they have over 100,000 lights on display. On Saturday, Dec. 11th there will be a community lighting at 5:00 PM followed by fireworks. Santa’s workshop ($5 per child) is open Saturday 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM and Sunday 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Merry Meadows Farm will have their ponies near the pavilion for holiday pony rides as well.
Lighted Ships Parade, Bonfire, and Caroling

Where: Liberty Bay and Poulsbo Waterfront Park
Cost: Free
Find a spot along Liberty Bay to watch the lighted ship parade, complete with call-outs from Santa. If you want to add a name to Santa’s list for him to call out, you can email santa@poulsboyc.org before Dec. 10th. The Crossroads Rotary will be hosting a bonfire, and caroling will be provided by Emerald Heights Elementary. View Poulsbo Yacht Club’s route map.

Cookies and Canvas – Family Paint Workshop

Celebrate Fall at these Kitsap Pumpkin Patches

Crisp air and crunchy leaves mean that pumpkin season has arrived! Here are some of our favorite local pumpkin patches that offer pumpkins and produce for sale, as well as fun, fall experiences.
Creek House Farm in Port Orchard

Book 90 minutes of fun on this family farm in the Manchester area of Port Orchard. Admission is $7.50 per person (ages 2 and up) and it includes time to feed farm animals, launch water balloons at wooden pumpkins, solve a pumpkin puzzle in the forest, and go on the super slide or the pumpkin barrel train. Also, their farm has 20 types of heirloom and hybrid pumpkins and squashes to purchase and enjoy.

Fat Turnip Farms in Kingston

Out in the little community of Eglon, Fat Turnip Farms sells certified organic produce at their farm stand and has a u-pick pumpkin patch with tons of different options as well as late-season, u-pick flowers. Their setup offers many great places to take photos with friends or little ones, and they periodically offer events. Be sure to check their Facebook page for details!

Pheasant Fields Farm in Silverdale

Tucked away on Clear Creek Road, this farm has a robust offering of activities for family fun.
They have the first living corn maze in Kitsap where you can solve a riddle for a chance to win a gift basket. Walk through the pumpkin patch to choose from a variety of pumpkin types or enjoy a self-guided tour around the farm to check out their animals. It’s free to visit the farm and the corn maze costs $5 for children under 16, $7 for adults, and there’s a military discount ($1 off admission). A Poulsbo favorite since 1966, this farm sits on 5 acres in Scandia. They have pumpkins and seasonal produce, herbs, and flowers. You can stroll through their beautiful fields and visit with their animals. For current offerings, visit their Facebook page.

Suyematsu Farms on Bainbridge Island

An Island favorite for u-pick, Suyematsu Farms is back at it this year with their wonderful pumpkin patch. They grow a large variety of squashes, gourds, and pumpkins.
